Why I usually have several hundred browser tabs open
mini me + poo
I was just skim reading LJ last week. Yesterday, I went back and opened tabs for posts - on my default reading list - I wanted to read more of / read the comments for / comment on / etc, over the previous seven days.

I ended up with 94 tabs open.

Take a look at the 'Read it later' add-on. I've got it set to close the tab when I tick it to be remembered, and unset when it's re-opened. It can also add into Google Reader to tick items there, and since it just adds a FF bookmark, Xmarks backs it up as well.

Local data for local people

Hmm, I'd prefer something local rather than using a 'take my private data, I don't need it' third party website.

Re: Local data for local people

That's just Xmarks, ReadItLater just quickly puts things into the bookmarks, and shows you a bunch at a time to re-open.

"Your list is saved on readitlaterlist.com for web access. (Optional but enabled by default)."
