The ten reasons article in the Guardian is very plausible, even if it is not hard enough on Labour 'we don't care if we lose unfair elections, so long as we win some' dinosaurs.
Was it Kinnock or Blair who said Labour should remember the day after the Tories won well on a minority vote and go 'never again'? Possibly Blair, who promised a referendum only to ignore the Jenkins report.
The eleventh reason is the failure to do the sensible thing: introduce it for local elections and only have a referendum on Westminster voting after people see that it works.
